The Bard and Broadway is a musical review of songs inspired by Shakespeare. Some are from operas, others from musicals rooted in Shakespeare. The need for this show is to have an elegant and appropriately decorated space in which to perform.
For this show, microphones were not an option for the performers. In order to improve the acoustics of what is normally a very dead thrust-black box theatre, we incorporated acoustic choir shells into the set and lit them aesthetically.
