There is a single, 2D Building that flies in ULC. it serves as a mask whenever we want to send set pieces onstage using the revolve. This would include the hospital bed, “The Runaway Cart,” and tables for the Inn and Cafe.
The revolve is controlled from UR, behind the groundrow.
The conductor is DC in the pit (small opening).
The scrims will be used to catch shafts of light in the air (real or projected). They will serve as projection surfaces as well. We will use them to reveal the ghosts for Empty Chairs at Empty Tables. Plan on ghosts being UC on the curved stairs and +72 platform.
The Barricade is based on a stock step unit and 4’x4′ paltform. Rehearsal cubes, barrels, the cart, a coffin, and other set pieces will be piled against it. Stock flats painted to look like boards, plus individual boards and doors will fill across the back of it to create a convincing barrier.
