I have been drawing heavily on the interiors below. Specifically, I am working as if the characters in the show are heavily subscribed to the work of Ilse Crawford, a British interior and furniture designer. A key emphasis of Crawford’s method is to employ complementary substances and complementary textures. Marble complements fur. Stone complements leather. Wood complements glass. The way an element feels and how it weighs is as important to the artistic composition as its shape, color, and line.
