Standard Media Statement

Rental media is available quickly after payment is complete. This allows you to make choices in your staging and other scenery in response to what the media can do. Please provide the dates of the production and the name of the presenting institution. The standard agreement assumes the show will be presented with audience for no more than three weeks in one venue. You may rehearse with media for longer if you like. For most media, you are welcome to edit or rearrange things to suit your needs. There are often elements that can be added or rearranged by your choice. Instructions and cuing guides are included.

This media was originally created for Actors Technique New York in the Theatre District. It works beautifully either on its own or combined with physical scenery elements. It includes fifty-eight projection cues. The media is ready to use with PowerPoint, and is also delivered as sequentially numbered video clips for playback using other systems. The director of this production asked for this media to depart a little from what many productions do. He wanted to steer away from an illustrative storybook style: “We want to bring the fairy tale to life. The lush setting really lends itself to the feeling of being truly immersed in the forest. And the feeling of ‘spookiness’ is achieved better if the environment is more believable.” He provided examples of artwork that were dark and ominous.

This media provides a steadily moving and shifting forest that works beautifully on its own, or as a background to physical elements you might provide. It includes effects for the giant stomping around and provides simple, effective settings for the various interiors.
